Consult the benefits website for information on benefits eligibility according to employee type.Unit: School Of Medicine MBUDepartment: Internal MedicineDuties & Responsibilities HIV/AIDS Education Training & Technical AssistanceInstructional responsibility to include content review and delivery, to moderate and facilitate programsParticipate in public education activities related to HIV prevention, testing/counseling, and other related areas of HIV careProvide technical assistance to agencies, including governmental, MSIs, HBCUs and community-based organizations Outreach, Partnership building, and coordinationOutreach to MSIs, HBCUs, and minority-led or serving organizations to assess training needs and coordinate programmingUnder guidance of program director, coordinate with subject matter experts to build curriculum Information ManagementAssist in program registration, information dissemination, post-program evaluation using qualitative and quantitative methodsKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExtensive knowledge of HIV prevention and treatment in Virginia, including rapid HIV/HCV testing and Ryan White ProgramsUnderstanding of MSIs, HBCUs, and experiences of minority communitiesUnderstanding of adult learning principlesAbility to communicate effective in public speakingOccasional (1-2 times per year) overnight, in-state travel requiredQualificationsMinimum QualificationsMinimum of 2 years’ experience in rapid HIV/HCV Testing or Ryan White Case Management ProgramsDemonstrated experiences working in or with HBCUs, MSIs, or other minority-led/serving programs.Experience in training, teaching, coaching, or HIV Peer ReviewMaster’s degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Health Education or similar field and 2 years of professional experience in direct HIV practice OR Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Health Education or similar field and 4 years of professional experience in direct HIV practice OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience in direct HIV practicePreferred QualificationsPrevious experience teaching Rapid HIV/HCV TestingPrevious experience teaching Ryan White Case Management ProgramsPrevious experience with HIV/HCV program delivery in HBCUs, MSIs, or other minority-led/serving programsSalary Range:$ 45/hrFLSA Exemption Status: Non-ExemptHours per Week: 8 - 16ORP Eligible: NoFlexible Work Arrangement: onsiteContact InformationContact Email: SOMHR@vcuhealth.org
