Maintenance Lead / Facilities ManagerRole OverviewThe Facility Manager will oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational performance of 7km public promenade, its associated pedestrian underpasses, and other large public spaces. This includes all public-realm infrastructurestreet furniture, lighting, drainage, signage, waste systems, cycle tracks, walkways, and both landscaped and hardscaped open areas. The role involves supervising and managing an external Facility Management agency responsible for on-ground work. The Facilities Manager will also provide operational-input during the design of new spaces to ensure they are efficient to maintain and aligned with long-term asset management needs.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily and periodic maintenance of promenade infrastructure and other open spaces: benches and street furniture, outdoor/PUP lighting systems, drainage, pavements, railings, cycle and pedestrian tracks, signage, etc.Supervise and manage an external FM/maintenance agency to ensure high-quality upkeep of both landscaped zones and hardscaped open areas, including hardscaped open areas, lawns, planting beds, trees, pathways, plazas, and sitting areas.Conduct routine and surprise inspections of the promenade and underpasses; identify defects, safety issues, and maintenance needs.Respond quickly to lighting outages, flooding, weather-related damage, monsoon impacts, and public safety incidents.Oversee repair works carried out by the FM agency, ensuring timely execution, quality compliance, and minimal disruption to public use.Manage repair and maintenance budgets, monitor spending, and validate cost estimates for repair activities and replacement of damaged elements.Track budgets, maintenance cycles, inventories, and prepare monthly asset condition and performance reports.Provide input during the design of new public-realm spaces to ensure operational efficiency, durability of materials, ease of maintenance, and alignment with long-term FM capabilities.Coordinate with internal teams, authorities, and other stakeholders to maintain seamless operations and compliance.QualificationsBachelors degree and relevant experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Landscaping, Hospitality, or related fields.8+ years in facility or public assets management; experience with outdoor, landscaped, or waterfront assets preferred.Strong vendor, contract, and stakeholder management abilities with hands-on problem-solving skills.Proficiency with FM technology, maintenance planning tools, and reporting systems.Candidates should currently be employed at or have significant relevant experience from the following companies: JLL, Knight Frank, CBRE, or Colliers.
