Job Description

Position SummaryThe Outage Discipline Coordinator – Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) provides direct coordination, planning, and oversight of I&C maintenance activities during refueling outages, forced outages, and online work windows. This position ensures I&C work scope is fully integrated into the outage schedule, executed to industry standards, and aligned with site objectives for nuclear safety, reliability, and cost per MW performance.Major Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and publish logic-tied, resource-loaded outage schedules for I&C scope, ensuring compliance with Technical Specifications, Work Management standards, and station scheduling guidelines.Coordinate I&C work packages with Operations, Engineering, Radiation Protection, and Work Management to ensure readiness, safe execution, and alignment with station priorities.Identify contractor work split, specialty skills, and resource requirements; coordinate support services (scaffolding, temporary lighting, insulation, etc.) needed for I&C activities.Drive discipline outage readiness by developing detailed plans with milestones, timelines, and accountable actions for pre-outage deliverables.Provide real-time oversight in the Outage Control Center (OCC) for I&C work scope, including schedule adherence, emergent issue resolution, and contingency planning.Assist I&C Maintenance Manager with milestone management, outage budget support, scope identification and validation, execution oversight and daily reporting.Capture lessons learned, trend I&C performance, and implement continuous improvement practices consistent with INPO 19-003 cultural expectations.Ensure I&C corrective actions are linked to AP-913 Equipment Reliability processes and long-term asset health planning.Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum 5 years of I&C maintenance experience in a nuclear power plant, including troubleshooting, testing, and system restoration.Experience with Work Management processes, outage implementation, and nuclear safety requirements.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline.Broad knowledge of nuclear I&C systems, standards, and equipment reliability practices.Familiarity with Primavera P6 (logic ties, work windows, manpower loading, reporting).Proficiency with station CAP/Work Management software (NIMS, SAP, Maximo, or equivalent).Demonstrated leadership in outage schedule integration and milestone readiness.Key AttributesStrong organizational and facilitation skills, capable of coordinating high-volume I&C work in a complex outage environment.Analytical and adaptive problem solver, with the ability to manage emergent issues and contingency plans under pressure.Effective communicator with proven ability to align work across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and vendor partners.Committed to nuclear safety, continuous learning, and achieving site objectives for safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation.Note: You will have an opportunity to add attachments to your application.
