Maintenance Technician- Boda Borg

Boda Borg at Lough Key Forest & Activity Park offers a unique, hands-on adventure experience with puzzles, physical challenges, and immersive themed rooms. We are seeking a practical, resourceful Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep, repair, and enhancement of our facilities and quest rooms.Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, leading maintenance and technical projects, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations all while taking pride in their work.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out maintenance and repairs of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems across the attractionTroubleshoot and resolve issues with puzzles, lighting, sensors, doors, and other mechanical/electrical componentsOversee general maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, and minor construction projectsLead the development, installation, and enhancement of new adventure challenges or facility upgradesEnsure tasks are completed in a timely, efficient, and safe mannerCollaborate closely with the General Manager to maintain operational excellence and safety standardsMentor and guide part-time or casual staff involved in technical or maintenance workRequirementsExperience with electrical or electronic systems (formal qualification desirable but not essential)Strong general maintenance skills (DIY, carpentry, mechanical, etc.)Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficientlyHands-on, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detailLeadership qualities and ability to supervise small teams or contractorsFlexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays as requiredFlexibility to help with other maintenance aspects around the general ParkWhat We OfferFlexible working daysA creative, hands-on work environment at one of Ireland’s most unique attractionsOpportunities to develop technical, maintenance, and creative skillsJob Type: Full-time
