Who We AreFerroglobe is one of the world’s leading suppliers of silicon metal, silicon-based and manganese-based specialty alloys and ferroalloys, serving a customer base across the globe in dynamic and fast-growing end markets, such as solar, automotive, consumer products, construction and energy.Learn more about our Transformation Story here: Who we areWhat You Will DoFerroglobe’s Maintenance Technician maintains production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and reactive maintenance on electric arc furnaces, material handling systems, overhead cranes, industrial dust collectors, etc.; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, engineering specifications and safety policies; troubleshooting malfunctions.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.Removes and replaces defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Adjusts functional parts of equipment by using hand and power tools, levels, and straightedges.Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop and weld shop instrumentation and equipment.What We SeekHigh School diploma or equivalentStrong mechanical aptitudeHighly safety orientedAbility to work in very high and low temperatures.Welding: 2 years + (Preferred)What We OfferWe offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Company-Paid Short-Term Disability and Basic Life, Voluntary Life and LTD, Employer 401k Match and paid time off.Pay GradesTech 1: Entry Level with applicable skillset.Tech 2: Familiar with all areas of the plant, can contribute to any maintenance task.Tech 3: Mastery Level, leads tasks and projects, can serve as backup to Maintenance Supervisor.Schedule10 hour shift12 hour shift8 hour shift Salary: $28.00 - $31.00 per hourWorking EnvironmentPerforms jobs under varying conditions (dust, oil, grease, hot and humid temperatures, fumes, noise, etc.)Ability to lift 50lbs, Floor to waist, Waist to shoulder.
