This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-performing maintenance team in a modern, fast-paced environment.Role OverviewThe Operations Maintenance Technician ensures all plant and equipment on site are maintained and repaired to recognised standards, minimising downtime and supporting efficient sortation operations across the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient completion of work within operational deadlines.Monitor workflow, identify potential issues, and take prompt corrective action.Liaise with Operations Managers, Section Leaders, and Control Room personnel to resolve equipment and process queries.Maintain health and safety standards and ensure smooth movement of goods through operational systems.Accurately complete all required documentation and maintenance records.Follow operational and maintenance procedures to uphold service and compliance standards.Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, safely stored, and that defective items are reported promptly.Candidate ProfileThe successful applicant will hold a City & Guilds Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification and demonstrate:Knowledge of 17th/18th Edition electrical regulationsProven electrical and mechanical maintenance experienceAbility to interpret electrical schematic drawingsUnderstanding of PLC-controlled systemsAwareness of health and safety regulationsFlexibility to adapt to changing shift requirementsFull, clean driving licenceBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits packageStructured training and on-the-job learning opportunitiesAccess to continuous professional development resourcesTuition support programmes (for eligible roles)Employee Assistance Programme for personal and family wellbeingEmployee discounted servicesExcellent long-term career prospects within a respected global brand
