Each subsidiary requires strong, accurate, and forward-looking financial management to support ambitious growth plans.The Management Accountant plays a vital role in ensuring financial discipline, robust controls, reliable reporting, and strategic insight across multiple entities. This role is central to maintaining financial integrity, supporting operational teams, and enabling informed decision-making across the group.JOB SUMMARYThe Management Accountant will provide comprehensive, multi-entity financial accounting support including ledger management, month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The position requires hands-on experience in managing accounting operations for multiple companies, strong analytical capability, and the ability to drive process improvements across the finance function.This role supports the CFO in ensuring that each business unit meets its financial reporting obligations, complies with IFRS/GAAP standards, and maintains a sound internal control environment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.   Multi-Entity Accounting & Ledger ManagementMaintain accurate general ledgers for multiple companies within the group.Record all financial transactions promptly and accurately.Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, eliminations, and transfer pricing entries.Ensure accounting policies are applied consistently across all entities.2.   Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) OversightProcess vendor invoices, staff expense claims, and supplier payments.Generate customer invoices, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances.Maintain accurate AP/AR aging reports and escalate risk accounts promptly.Support supplier and customer reconciliation processes.3.   Month-End Close & Financial ReportingPrepare month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and amortization.Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet schedules, and key control accounts.Generate monthly management accounts for each subsidiary (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).Prepare variance analysis and financial commentary for leadership review.4.   Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial PlanningSupport preparation of annual budgets for each business unit.Update rolling forecasts and perform scenario analysis.Provide insights on cost drivers, revenue trends, and financial risks.Assist in aligning financial forecasts with operational performance targets.5.   Compliance, Controls & Audit SupportEnsure full compliance with IFRS/GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors during annual audits.Assist with statutory filings (PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax).Strengthen internal controls across payment processes, procurement, and inventory.6.   Systems, Data Integrity & Process ImprovementEnsure accuracy and consistency of data across accounting and ERP systems.Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and workflow improvement.Support digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.Train staff on financial processes and compliance requirements.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE·        Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.·        CPA (K) or equivalent professional certification required.·        Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (multi-entity experience strongly preferred).·        Proficiency in modern accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Oracle ERP, etc.).·        Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and statutory tax requirements.·        Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards).·        Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines across several companies.·        Strong communication, analytical, and reconciliation skills.·        High integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS·        Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and completeness in reporting.·        Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.·        Multi-Tasking & Prioritization: Manages workload across multiple entities efficiently·        Problem-Solving: Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves accounting discrepancies promptly.·        Process Discipline: Maintains strong internal controls and compliance.·        Collaboration: Works effectively with operational, procurement, HR, and leadership teams.PERFORMANCE METRICS (KPIs)·        Timeliness and accuracy of monthly management accounts.·        Quality and completeness of reconciliations (bank, AR/AP, intercompany).·        Reduction of aging balances and overdue payables/receivables.·        Audit readiness and reduced audit queries/issues.·        Compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and Group policies.·        Efficiency and improvement in finance processes.·        Accuracy of budgets/forecasts and quality of variance analysis.·        Data integrity and system accuracy across entities.Expected Start Date: 1st January 2026 Application Procedure  If you believe your qualifications and career objectives align with this role, please submit your application including a cover letter and detailed CV (not exceeding 5 pages), indicating your current and expected salary.Applications should clearly describe how you meet the stated requirements, with concise examples where possible.Interested candidates should send their applications to: hr@invest-africa.comDeadline for applications: Friday 28th November 2025.Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
