**Telework Eligible**No**Major Duties** Performs studies independently or as a member of a group with other analysts/specialists, dealing with interrelated functions and develops improved solutions through the suite of MS Office and IBM information automation tools. Monitors a block of computer programs to determine their efficiency in meeting established information requirements and recommending changes in data flow. Monitors a block of computer programs to determine their efficiency in sources of input, report formats, and calculations to satisfy supply management information needs. Manipulates data to assist users with special requests such as unique sorting, subtotaling or averaging. In collaboration with computer specialists, evaluate problems with new and modified systems, including the logical flow and input errors. In collaboration with computer specialists, evaluate interconnections among data fields and program elements within a flow of related programs, and recommends solutions to both supply and computer specialists. Gathers data from systems programmers, computer specialists, and personnel from mission areas; makes fact-finding trips to secure data and observe work processes; consults other applications from counterparts in other agencies and activities.**Qualification Summary**To qualify for a Management and Program Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Thorough knowledge of the techniques and equipment used in the examination and classification of unusual and highly specialized items Conduct comprehensive searches of manufacturers' catalogs, tech orders, schematics, and computerized data to identify unique and specialized items or those which lack proper identification or documentation. Utilize technical specifications, vendor contracts and blueprints to examine and compare size, condition, coding, stock numbers, and the functional operation of items. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
