A structured 2–3-year management development role designed to build the next generation of operational leaders.Role SummaryWe are seeking an ambitious, driven, and analytically minded early-career professional to join our company as a Management Trainee, working directly with the Chief Operating Officer. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in executive-level operations, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration across a global engineering and telecommunications environment.As part of a structured leadership development program, this role is designed to build a deep understanding of Delmec’s operations and leadership culture, preparing high-potential talent for future management roles. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with the discipline to execute, demonstrating initiative, problem-solving ability, and a drive to deliver measurable impact from the outset.Please note: This role is focused on operations within an engineering and telecommunications environment and will not suit candidates with qualification or experience in sales, marketing, IT, and HR functions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the COO in the development and execution of short and long-term operational strategies.Track, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic initiatives.Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and dashboards for executive review.Participate in cross-functional projects, ensuring deliverables are met within defined timelines.Lead or co-lead 1–2 functional projects per rotation.Analyse end to end supply chain performance, cost reductions, and identify improvement areas.Contribute to procurement, inventory optimisation and vendor management.Support process improvements, capability planning, and quality initiatives.Collaborate with production and services teams to reduce cycle times and defects.Assist with operational budgeting, OPEX management, and cost optimisation activities.Ensure adherence to internal controls, risk management and governance standards.Partner with IT and Operations to support automation, data analytics, and tool implementation.Collaborate with HR on capability-building, performance, and leadership development, and change management.Prepare and present project updates and improvement plans to the COO and senior management team.Deliver a capstone project focused on operational improvement, with ROI, implementation roadmap and risk assessment.RequirementsBachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Technical Operations, Project Management, or a related field.MBA or master’s degree strongly preferred.Minimum 2 years of professional experience; internships, graduate projects or relevant.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across multiple levels.Strong organisational and time management abilities, capable of multi-tasking.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is an advantage.Availability to travel internationally for training, meetings or project assignments.Candidate's ProfileThe ideal candidate is an ambitious, early-career professional eager to grow and make an impact within an international operational environment.
