A reputed Local Conglomerate is looking for Manager - ProcurementJob Description / ResponsibilityCompany Overview:A reputed local Conglomerate, committed to maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance, values, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in all aspects of its operations, is looking for an experienced professional for its Procurement Department.Job Summary:The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of goods and services required for the company’s operations. This role involves developing procurement strategies, standard operating process, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. The Procurement Manager ensures compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards while working cross-functionally with internal departments to support organizational goals.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate cross functionally to accurately forecast material and service requirements, inventory and optimize procurement planning.Manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and prepare regular reports on purchasing activities.Oversee demand and supply planning and to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.To identify market trends opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation. Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans; lead supplier negotiations and contract management.Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on price, quality, delivery time, and reliability. To lead high-value negotiations contracts and terms with the suppliers.Monitor Suppliers’ enlistment, relationship and performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance expectations.Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery schedules.Ensure all procurement activities are conducted with the highest ethical standards and in strict compliance with company policies in collaboration with cross functional teams & operations.Lead, mentor, tasking and manage the local procurement team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and ethical work environment by ensuring seamless coordination.Identify training needs and facilitate professional development for team members to enhance their procurement expertise.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.Ensuring VAT/tax documentation accuracy and smooth ERP integration.Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc) in Supply Chain ManagementBachelor of Business Administration (BBA)Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in ManagementBachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain ManagementBachelor of Business Administration (BBA)Minimum Bachelor in Management/Supply Chain Management/Business Administration from reputed University.Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain will be an added advantage.Experience Requirements8 to 10 year(s)Additional RequirementsExperience: 8 – 10 years in Procurement and Supply Chain Function.Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Strategic Thinker, Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Strong analytical & problem solving skills.High level of integrity and ethical conduct.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Power Point) and in ERP software.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Job LocationChattogram (Chattogram Sadar)
