Join the team that supports Saab’s developers and play an important role in shaping our software engineering landscape.Your roleWe are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking leader to head a team within Software Factory, DevOps, and Developer Productivity & Tools. The team plays an important role in enabling effective development environments and modern software engineering practices across the organisation.As Manager, you will lead a team of skilled engineers focused on CI/CD, automation, and toolchain development. You will be part of the Enablement Tech & Platforms department within Group Digitalisation, which drives digital innovation through shared, secure platforms and technologies that accelerate business impact.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the platform engineering team focused on developer productivity and software delivery enablementDefine and implement strategies for internal development platforms, CI/CD infrastructure, and toolchain evolutionOversee the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of scalable, secure, and self-service development platformsCollaborate with engineering teams to understand developer needs and continuously improve platform capabilitiesEncourage automation, standardisation, and reliability across the software development lifecycleEnsure platform solutions meet security, compliance, and architectural standardsSupport InnerSource practices and open-source collaboration within the organisationThis is a leadership role at the forefront of shaping Saab’s software development at scale. You’ll be part of a collaborative and innovative environment that values learning, inclusion, and tangible results, with opportunities for professional and personal growth.Your profileRequired:Proven leadership experience in DevOps, software development, or developer toolingStrong technical background in CI/CD, cloud-native development, and automationExperience defining internal development platforms and toolchainsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFluency in Swedish and EnglishBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalentPreferred:Experience from large-scale software organisations or platform teamsExperience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and PythonFamiliarity with InnerSource, open-source governance, and developer educationUnderstanding of DevSecOps and secure development workflowsExperience working in hybrid cloud environmentsThis position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
