We are looking for a Manager, Business Control UPM Biorefining Operations. The position is in Biorefining & Technology Business control team, and located in Helsinki or Tampere, Finland, or Leuna, Germany.Greetings from your future ManagerOur Business Controlling team is responsible for UPM Biorefining operations at our refineries in Leuna, Germany and in Lappeenranta, Finland producing renewable carbon solutions such as renewable diesel and chemicals. The operations business controller plays a crucial role by supporting refinery management in decision making through analysis, planning and guidance. Good collaboration with finance and business stakeholders is a key to succeeding in this position. This is a great opportunity to be part of a sustainable future. Tiina Läykki, Senior Manager, Business Control, UPM Biorefining OperationsWhat you will doDrive actions to optimize financial performanceDevelop and execute reporting, forecasting, and analyticsSupport refinery management in financial analysis of investment and development projectsMonitor, analyze, and report monthly costsManage budgeting, analysis, and follow-upEnsure an effective internal control and compliance environmentCollaborate extensively with finance and business stakeholders to ensure success in the above areasWho you areYou are highly motivated and see complexity and multitasking as opportunities, not threatsYou understand product costing and cost allocations and can contribute and develop the area to support business to make right decisionsYou are analytical, with a strong aspiration for development work and delivering resultsYou are self-driven and have a high level of integrityYou have proven influencing and communication skills and can operate effectively in networksYou have a university degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance or industrial management) and at least five years of relevant work experienceYou have a good understanding of finance processes and at least a basic understanding of business processes, combined with a drive to learn more about the businessYou are fluent in written and spoken English; Finnish and German are considered an assetYou have excellent skills in PowerPoint and Excel, and experience with data processing and visualization tools.
