Job Description

Role: Stakeholder Management/ Problem Solving/Program Management/ Labour CompliancesLocation: Bengaluru / MumbaiCore Areas: Labour Compliances, Payroll complainces, grievance handling, resolving discrepancy, auditingQualification: HR vertical and payroll related knowledgeExperience: 6-8 years of experience in Human Resources preferably from bulk payrolling background. Experience in blue collar workforce management is preferred.Key responsibilities:Ensures payroll processing aligns with all laws, regulations, and internal policies through auditing, record maintenance, and process improvement.Ensure legal and regulatory compliance: Monitor and adhere to all federal, state, and local labor laws, wage and hour laws, and tax regulations.Maintain accuracy: Manage and update payroll records, conduct regular audits of payroll data, and resolve any discrepancies.Tax compliance: Manage payroll tax withholdings, oversee the preparation and submission of all required tax filings and reports.Process employee changes: Ensure all employee status changes, such as new hires, terminations, and promotions, are accurately reflected in the payroll system.Reporting: Prepare and submit required payroll reports to authorities and provide comprehensive payroll reporting and analysis to management.Policy and process improvement: Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures, and identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency, potentially through automation.Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with the Human Resources and Finance departments to integrate payroll and employee data and resolve issues.Employee support: Serve as a point of contact for employees, responding to payroll-related inquiries and explaining payroll-related matters.What We’re Looking ForPeople with endless curiosity and hunger to learnOwners who will think of Zepto as their own ventureOperators obsessed with customer experienceGood knowledge of labour regulationsPossess exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
