Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.Position Profile: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader for the position of Manager, Data Linkage Services within the Data and Information Systems business unit within the Information and System Performance Directorate.Data Linkage is a cornerstone of WA Health’s data ecosystem, supporting evidence-based decision-making and world-class research through the safe, coordinated, and consistent use of linked data. The program is entering a transformative phase, modernising its systems, governance, and strategy to enable greater interoperability across government and research sectors.In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team encompassing the Data Linkage, Client Services, and Data Linkage Strategy streams. You will oversee the long-term strategic planning and delivery of reforms that strengthen WA Health’s data linkage infrastructure, streamline access to linked data, and enhance quality, governance, and technical capability.Your portfolio will include leadership of the WA Health Data Linkage Strategy, cross agency and jurisdictional collaboration, and engagement with governance committees that span government, research, and not-for-profit partners. You will drive innovation across the full data lifecycle, from client data requests through to system design, transformation, and analysis, while providing high-level advice to executives and stakeholders on data reform and policy alignment.This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can connect strategy to implementation, champion data-driven innovation, and foster collaboration within the Department and across agencies. You will also play a key role in developing staff capability, promoting continuous improvement, and embedding a culture of excellence within WA Health’s Data Linkage Services.WA Health supports flexible working practices within the context of a quality health service.
