About The RoleThe key responsibilities of the role include:Provide high quality, expert and strategic advice to Director Medical Services (DMS), Deputy Director Medical Services (DDMS) Director Clinical Training (DCT) and Executive Director Medical Services (EDMS) issues including professional practice, workforce management and development, education and training, employee contract management and policy development.Lead and engage medical workforce stakeholders on the development, implementation, monitoring and review of medical workforce reform strategies.Successfully apply a project management approach to complex medical workforce & education initiatives, coupled with demonstrated expertise to lead and manage projects to achieve organisation wide outcomes.Provide support to the Director Medical Services and Executive Director Medical Services in budget planning and management to achieve unit priorities.Actively drive organisational & business service delivery improvements through monitoring and analysis of service delivery outcomes.About YouOur ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:A high-level understanding of the trends and challenges of the medical workforce in the delivery of quality, safe, effective and timely patient and family centred care.A successful track record in a leadership role facilitating effective change management and fostering a culture of organisational improvement. A commitment to the required medical education of junior doctors and the innovative development of medical education in the facility, the health service, the state and nationally.A high-level communication, consultation, negotiation and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders and expertise in the preparation of reports and briefings of a substantial and complex nature.Ability to lead and manage staff in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.Mandatory RequirementsPre-employment screening, including criminal history and discipline history checks, may be undertaken on persons recommended for employment.About West Moreton HealthWest Moreton Health is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the south east corner, with a community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036.
