This role reports to the Senior Manager, Global Export Controls and Sanctions. Due to the ever-evolving international trade landscape, it will be part of a best-in-class international trade compliance program. You will also create, maintain, and train trade compliance procedures and requirements to support the growth from an export compliance perspective.What You Will DoEnsure required export, statistical reporting, and legal documentation is completed. Ensure the compliance of customs processes and customs authorizations. Ensure proper customs valuation, classification, country of origin. Manage denied party screening (DPS) process. Manage global export sanction screening and review process. Manage ECN classification process. Determine if products require export licenses. Identify regulatory issues proactively and address any implications for the organization. Ensure that local risk management frameworks and processes are aligned with global ones and address risks. Organize monitoring and audit of export processes and documentation to ensure compliance with trade laws. Manage EUC (end user certificates) for both customers and suppliers. Advise business on compliance requirements and related controls. Creating, assessing, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)Identify and integrate ‘best practices’ standards for the organization based on global cooperation. Build partnerships with third-party customs brokerage firms, government agencies, and trade compliance service providers. What You Need To Be SuccessfulBachelor’s degree in Trade Compliance or related field. Export certificate preferred5+ years of leadership experience in Import / Export operationsGlobal/multinational mindset and awarenessAreas of Expertise: Customs compliance; export/import activities; documentation; denied party screening, export sanctions management, ECN classificationExperience with both US and EU export controls and sanctions. Experience working with a US based organization. Bonus Points if You Have Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource or similar global trade management (GTM) softwareExpertise with automotive parts and consumer electronics commodities is a plusMulti-cultural awareness and ability to adjust communication accordingly. Understanding of Dual Use product classificationExperience with working with Middle East customers.
