This role provides strategic oversight of multiple RTR leaders and their direct report teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting services to one or more business divisions (Medical, Orthopedics, and/or Global Quality Organization).What You Will DoLead, coach, develop, and mentor a team of RTR Supervisors and their respective individual contributors across multiple divisions, building organizational capability to support business growth and evolving complexity by working in partnership with peers.Exceptional people development through demonstrable skills and proven ability to grow and drive talent, succession planning, building capability, sustaining high levels of motivation and engagement across the entire organization, and prepare team members for advancement.Monitor key performance indicators to ensure accurate, timely execution, and audit-ready RTR processes (i.e., manual journal entries, accruals calculations, balance sheet reconciliations, Stryker’s policies, etc.). Results focus and data-driven decision maker, providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions/processes and non-routine entries.Accountable for the accurate and timely execution of monthly/quarterly/annual period-end closing, consolidation activities, internal and external audit reviews support, in compliance with Stryker policies, US/Local GAAP, risks and controls (SOX) frameworks.Serve as a trusted business partner to multiple stakeholders at varying organizational levels, adapting communication style to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes with diplomacy, influencing and building consensus across diverse perspectives and priorities, to proactively address local finance and company’s ad hoc requests while balancing standardization requirements. Maintain close collaboration with RTR Global Process Organization (RTR GPO) to ensure strategic alignment.Proactively identify current control gaps, implement sustainable remediation solutions, and embed controls thinking into process design and standardization initiatives through demonstrable strong risk assessment, controls framework, and compliance mindset (US/Local GAAP across Americas, and finance policies).Lead and support significant transformation initiatives including standardization, simplification, ERP implementations, shared service expansions, or process reengineering projects. Act as change management agent to drive adoption of new technologies, processes, and effective ways of working.Embed a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization, encouraging innovation and challenging the status quo, implementing efficiency opportunities through process redesign, and driving continuous improvement methodologies in partnership with the Process Excellent (PE) organizationWhat You Need10+ years of demonstrated advanced experience across multiple RTR processes and complex accounting, with ability to provide authoritative guidance, under matrixed environments with diverse stakeholder groups, under shared services or global business services environment. Understanding of healthcare, medical device, or manufacturing industry dynamics preferred.Strong working knowledge with demonstrated experience to leverage system capabilities for process optimization in two of the following ERPs: SAP S/4HANA, JD Edwards (JDE), Oracle ERP Cloud. Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar consolidation/reporting tools strongly preferred.Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint); with advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data modeling. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization, dashboard creation, and business intelligence reporting to create insightful analytics that drive decision-makingProven change management and process improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) is required. Automation technologies knowledge (RPA, AI/ML applications in finance) with ability to identify automation opportunities and/or artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning applications in finance and accounting will be a plus.Minimum 6-7 years of experience leading leaders (minimum 2nd line manager) with demonstrated ability to manage teams of 20+ professionals across multiple organizational levels (individual contributors through people leaders), and demonstrable track record of exceptional people development with specific examples of team members advanced under their leadership, while proving ability to maintain high employee engagement and motivation scores, even during challenging transformation periods.Proven effectiveness in leading, partnering, and collaborating in hybrid work environments with ability to maintain team cohesion and culture, as well as credibility and trust with stakeholders ranging from team members to C-suite executivesBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.Fluent English proficiency (written and verbal) is mandatory.
