POSITION: Manager, Legal Services & Litigation Support | Legal DepartmentROLE PURPOSEThe Manager of LSLS is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day legal administrative operations. This role is pivotal in supporting all departmental units and internal stakeholders by collaborating on the planning, analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance of legal application and administrative systems. The Manager ensures the effective delivery of legal services and information, while also providing strategic and administrative support to enhance departmental efficiency. Specializing in legal data management, this role focuses on developing strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in legal data research and paralegal functions.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Strategic System ManagementPlan, analyse, develop, implement, and maintain legal application and administrative systems to effectively manage legal services and information consist of monitoring of legislative or legal development by leveraging of technology ("continuous surveillance of legal landscape impacting BNM"). Ensure these systems provide efficient administrative and strategic support aligned with the department’s business objectives and the Bank’s policies.2. Operational Oversight of Office ManagementAdministration of legal service and litigation support via technology. Lead and supervise support services officers to ensure the achievement of key performance indicators and job targets, contributing to the smooth and efficient daily operations of the department covering the following areas:Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the Legal Department.Monitor and track via systems on legal deadlines, court dates, and compliance timelines.Ensure proper filing and archiving of legal documents of Legal Department in accordance with the relevant retention policies.Support procurement and budgeting processes related to legal services and resources.3. System Functionality AssuranceEnsure legal and administrative systems are accessible and perform according to defined functional requirements, supporting operational reliability and user satisfaction.4. Project and Initiative ExecutionManage and/or participate in the assessment, evaluation, and implementation of relevant projects and initiatives that support the Bank’s strategic agenda.5. Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to review, resolve, implement, and manage legal administrative and support matters, fostering effective partnerships and continuous improvement.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEAcademic Qualifications: Degree in Jurisprudence, Business Admin, Computer Science, or any field and professional certification in paralegal is an added advantage.Experience: A minimum of 8 years working experience
