Manager/Dy. Manager with 8-10 Years of experience. As a Dairy Processing Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the milk collection and Quality Assurance . Your expertise in these areas is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring efficient dairy production processes.Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:Financial:Budget Management and Resource Allocation:Develop and manage the departmental budget, allocating resources effectively and tracking expenditures to ensure financial objectives are met while maintaining high-quality standards.Cost Analysis and Budgeting:Conduct detailed cost analyses for each dairy processing segment, identifying cost drivers and recommending cost-saving strategies.Collaborate with the finance department to develop annual budgets, Work continuously with third party supply base to improve quality & optimize cost.Support business with accurate price forecasting for Liquid Milk.Measure and manage overall performance of milk suppliers, service vendors across procurement metrics of Supply, Cost, Service & compliance.Customer:Work closely with the own area milk shed area with focus on increasing number of carriers & providing dairy development & extension services to Dairy farmers.Develop and execute the department's strategic plans, aligning with organizational goals and objectives, to drive growth, innovation, and efficiency.Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and resource utilization to achieve optimal production output.Research, Development, and Innovation,Promote and oversee research and development initiatives within the department to enhance quality of milk thus helps to plant to produce the qualitiatative product.Process:Continuously analyze Milk Procurement at different milk collection cetnre processes for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity while maintaining product integrity.Analyse, Propose and implement changes to optimize milk collection routes and energy consumption.People:Provide strong leadership, guidance, and direction to the dairy & quality department, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.Manage and mentor a team of milk procurement team and, ensuring their professional growth and development within the department.Key Deliverables:Milk Procurement Planning and SchedulingResource Allocation and OptimizationQuality & Process Management at CentersHealth and Safety ComplianceInventory Management Cost Management Zero Customer complainKey Interactions:Internal stakeholders: Plant Level managementExternal stakeholders: External-Local Farmers and society Government authority/CustomerKey Dimensions:Financial Dimensions:To plan milk procurement as Plant requirement meeting all quality parametersEducational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, Professional degree in dairy technology or veterinary science and Animal HusbandaryExperience (Type & Nature):8-12 years work experience with Dairy / FMCG organizationFunctional Competencies Supplier Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with milk suppliers.Negotiation Skills: Securing favorable terms and prices for milk procurement.Quality Control: Ensuring all procured milk meets high quality standards.Cost Management: Managing procurement costs effectively.Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to industry regulations and safety standards.Inventory Management: Keeping accurate track of milk inventory levels.Behavioral Competencies:Zydus Neev Behavioural Competency Framework
