You enjoy taking on the challenge of leading a talented team that takes risks and learns from mistakes.Main ResponsibilitiesLead engineering, automation and product development teams (across multiple locations) to upgrade existing and develop new products (conception through production) and manufacturing linesDrive continued development and implementation of our Quality Program, including Certifications across multiple locations and countriesManage multiple concurrent projects using standard and visual project management methodsCollaborate with multiple business functions (including sales, marketing, supply chain, production, etc.) regarding product specifications, designs, improving our manufacturing capabilities, yields, design for manufacture, etcManage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projectsEnsure designs, drawings and test specifications support successful manufacturing. Lead and facilitate problem solving in all areas of product development and manufacturing (mechanical, assembly, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrics, paint and test processes)Develop and/or implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work. RequirementsMinimum 5 years experience leading in a product development / engineering / manufacturing / quality environmentKnowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and servicesKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goodsWorking knowledge of manufacturing documents (PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, Work Instructions, and Checklists)Strong knowledge / understanding of small engine components (mechanical and electrical)Not required but an asset - degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in General, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Process EngineeringAbility to travel internationally (: 4 weeks annually)Relevant software experience (e.g. MS Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience (90k-140k)Group medical and dental benefits, insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramModern, well-equipped facilityRegular team building and social events - come enjoy everything from pizza and food truck lunches to our annual holiday party.
