Our highly credentialed veterinarians fill in for permanent staff at hospitals facing shortages across the U.S. Our mission is to bring balance, fulfillment and joy back to vet med while providing our partner hospitals with consistent, compassionate coverage to maintain excellent care for pets.The Manager, Operations Policy & Optimization is responsible for maintaining and improving core operational systems (e.g. GHP, doctor attendance policies, doctor scheduling policies) while strengthening our revenue operations support, control reporting, and operational analytics capabilities. This role will optimize core processes, provide visibility into performance and risk, and drive cost savings across the business. This role will ultimately deliver the ability for better data driven decision-making and operational scale. This role is also responsible for leading key company initiatives as needed and driving them through to successful completion.Key Responsibilities Consolidate Operational Processes- Operational processes are currently decentralized across the company. Processes such as enforcement of scheduling policies, hours compliance/utilization, incentive payouts, and policy adherence are managed in different departments. This role is responsible for consolidating those activities, eliminating redundancies, and having authority for managing exceptions in all cases.- Ensure all departments are properly supported with the appropriate workflows for managing lead identification, outbound targeting prioritization, retention monitoring, and funnel management.- Ensure that processes have the appropriate corresponding control reports. Consolidate existing reports where appropriate and deliver new controls working with BI where necessary as you work through process consolidation.Program Leadership & Internal Consulting- Demonstrate the ability to lead new initiatives and processes at IndeVets. Take ownership of these projects, and work with cross functional teams including Clinical, Operations, Technology, and HST to drive successful business outcomes. Your goal is driving the team to win.- Support departments when they’re developing new processes. Act as an SME and advisor for intradepartmental process development and management where appropriate. Help others identify opportunities for efficiency and identify opportunities for centralized operational ownership where appropriate.Expense Optimization & Efficiencies - Identify needless complexity, bottlenecks, and redundancies in processes and eliminate them.- Identify opportunities for consolidation and cost savings within the organization. Be on constant alert for waste, call it out when you see it, and work with teams to eliminate those activities wherever possible.QualificationsQualifications - 5+ years in operations management, project management or similar discipline- Background in healthcare, veterinary, or shift-based scheduling environments preferred - Proven track record of driving positive changes in key business metrics tied to revenue, operational efficiency, and cost- Track record of leading cross functional teams to success- Strong analytical mindset and comfort with technology systems such as Salesforce, mobile applications, and PowerBI- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills- Deep care for doctors, hospitals, and the profession of veterinary medicine- Committed to our mission of making vet med better- Thrives in a fast-moving, kind, no-drama, high-accountability environmentPhysical Demands & Work Environment:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesHQ office space or home office spaceTravel to HQ office space at minimum quarterly for departmental meetingsFrequent typing and talking over the phone or TeamsComply with all operational standards and employment laws and regulationsDid we mention we have competitive pay and great benefits?
