Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is looking for a Manager, Project Management 3, for the Advanced Weapons Business Unit, reporting directly to the VP; serving as Chief of Staff, ensuring all aspects of the Business Unit operations are effective and efficient. This position will be in Northridge CA.The selected candidate will be a member of the Advanced Weapons Leadership Team and work directly with the VP and the Advance Weapons Leadership to organize and facilitate day-to-day operational aspects of the Business Unit.Duties And Responsibilities IncludeIntegrate day-to-day operational objectives to meet the Business Unit’s financial, non-financial goals and assigned Sector Operating Objectives (SOOs)Work with leadership to identify Business Unit focus areas for process improvement/streamlining and development and execution of operational initiativesSupport the development and execution of the Business Unit’s Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Strategic Plan (AOP/LRSP) to include the planning of resources to achieve the plansPrepare Business Unit VP for all senior level internal meetings and customer engagements with relevant information/materials such as talking points and relevant background informationSupport Advanced Weapons business rhythms and coordinate the development, review and periodic reporting of applicable Business Unit operating objectives, and non-financial metricsEnsure deliverables required by Division level business rhythms are coordinated among the staff and delivered timelyServe as a trusted advisor to the VP and the Advanced Weapons leadership team Drive execution of strategic initiatives and tasks initiated by the VP by working with cross-functional teams and business leaders across the organizationAct as a focal point for communication and collaboration among Advanced Weapons functional leaders and operationsAnticipate and proactively manage the materials, data and presentation needs for upcoming meetings and eventsSupport employee engagement activities such as VP Leadership All Hands, and Leader Site VisitsLeads internal special projects as requested by the VP, to include activities such as: establishing and leading a cross-functional team, developing and monitoring objectives, briefing senior leaders, and facilitating broader communication across division employees as appropriate.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree with 10 years of related experience and a minimum of 7 years project management experienceMust be able to operate very effectively in an ambiguous environment; identify and proactively determine the best ways to address issues or tasks without specific directionPossess a strategic mindset; identify areas for improvement within the division and bridge gaps between functions to drive implementation of improvements in identified need areasSuccessful candidate must think ahead to anticipate potential challenges; ensuring they are addressed in advance or providing recommended options to leadership when necessary. Must collaborate well with the Business Unit Leadership Team and possess the ability to influence without direct authority to produce results/outcomesAbility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and projects within critical deadlinesStrong data analytic capability and attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, and presentation skills are requiredDemonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others, including ability to interact effectively with senior level managementDemonstrated ability to respect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive informationDemonstrated ability to understand detailed program financial performance; strong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completionHighly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skillsComprehensive knowledge of company and sector operations, policies, procedures and command media.Ability to travel a minimum of 10% domesticallyMust have the ability to obtain Secret clearancePreferred QualificationsCandidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:MS or MBA degree in a technical, business or related fieldPMP or similar certificationStrong understanding of Northrop Grumman culture and demonstrated success effectively working within the company’s organization, processes, and proceduresExperience with the Defense Community customersExperience with international programs, operations and businessesPrimary Level Salary Range: $154,600.00 - $231,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
