This includes franchise planning, managing product availabilities and rights, negotiation and pricing support, contract review and execution, and budget and forecasting.Our Madrid office has an opportunity for a Manager to join the Sales Planning and Operations team in TV Distribution, supporting the Iberia region. The role in Sales Planning & Operations covers three key areas: Deal Management & Administration, Sales Analysis & Title Inventory Management, and Forecasting & Planning.This position will mainly be supporting the Sales team based in the Madrid office and will need to ensure regular communications and provide expertise on the clients, deals, sales history and current forecasts. They will also have a key role in analysis, projects and best practice initiatives for the territory.The candidate will have a passion for content and a broad understanding of the distribution business necessary to support the sales process. They will be a highly motivated individual able to communicate important market and client development to the relevant audience and be confident in working with Senior Executives within the group.What You'll DoDeal Management & AdministrationSet up and maintain deals in Sales & Rights Management systems; create Finance Release Packages and Materials Orders.Manage contractual obligations and ensure all deadlines are met as detailed in the contractsDraft simple contracts and amendments using standard templates, working with the Legal team when necessaryDevelop an excellent working relationship with clients, provide sales support and attend external meetings as required. Liaise with clients on queries relating to deals e.g. billing discrepancies, servicing issues, US Network scheduling changes.Internal Relationships:Finance - to ensure accurate revenue recognition, customer checks, resolving invoicing/payment issues, and responding to audit queriesDCS (Materials Fulfilment team) to ensure assets are delivered on timeEnsure all Sales Planning Procedures are upheld by seeking appropriate reviews and ApprovalsActively support the system UAT and engage in the process of system development and enhancementsSales Analysis & Title Inventory ManagementSupport negotiations of new deals with analysis, working with the Sales team, VP of Sales Planning and the Commercial Analysis team based in LondonAnalyse reports for available products and identify appropriate titles that meet client and sales criteria, and maximise the sales potentialWindow Management - Maximise window opportunities for all productsEstablish a Window Strategy for Franchise titles for local and Global DealsUtilise and engage in the development of new software tools e.g. TableauForecasting & PlanningTake ownership of ensuring all deals and data in RPM /S2F are accurate and up to dateMaintain/update the annual and MRP (Mid Range Plan) forecasts in RPM, process changes on time and keep VP Sales Planning and Sales Teams informed of updates regularlyProvide variance analysis on product, deals and/or market assumptions to support Sales in preparing the forecastCreate summaries and commentary to Sales & Finance within prescribed deadlinesAttend and contribute to regular forecast review meetings with Sales, Planning and Finance teamsProjectsParticipate and contribute as may be required from time to time, on projects and initiatives within the divisionWhat You HaveQualifications and ExperienceEducated to a minimum undergraduate degree levelMinimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar media environmentStrong IT skills, in particular Excel (pivot tables, formulae, macros), PowerPoint and must be confident learning new systemsFluency in Spanish and English is essentialCompetenciesHighly numerate with excellent attention to detailContinuous Improvement, Change, and Creativity – seeks opportunities to enhance processes, drive positive change, and apply creative thinking to improve outcomes.Problem Solving & Decision making – demonstrates an ability to address root causes of problems, identify alternatives and propose solutions.Able to use complex information to provide summaries with clear and meaningful insightsManaging priorities and competing deadlines during busy periodsProactive and adaptable – anticipate needs in different situations and takes appropriate action with guidance and on own initiativeExcellent communication skillsTeam player who is willing and able to assist colleaguesIf you require any reasonable adjustments with any part of the recruitment process, including the application or interview process, please contact us at uk_-_peopleandorganisation@spe.sony.com.
