Job Description

The Manager / Senior Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Deputy Director in advancing the Progressive Wage Model and improving the lives of low-wage workers.The job responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, including:Secretariat Duties and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders at various levels, including companies' senior management, SNEF, trade associations councils, and senior government officials from MOM, SSG, WSG, sector lead agencies, etc.Research: Conduct thorough desktop research and facilitate focus group discussions to substantiate the justification to review wage and skills ladders, and push for improvement of working conditions (e.g. provision of rest areas) for low wage workers with the administration of Workcare Grant.Policy Review and Collaboration: Assist in identifying policy gaps and proposing data-driven policy interventions. Draft policy proposals and seek buy-in from key stakeholders to enhance the wages, welfare, and work prospects of low-wage workers. Actively seek out collaborative opportunities to achieve departmental KPIs.Marketing and Communication: Collaborate in designing effective marketing initiatives and campaigns to raise awareness and galvanize public support. Measure the effectiveness of these activities and contribute to speechwriting, briefings, and communication-related tasks to strengthen brand recall and amplify key messages for the department.Requirements:Degree holder with at least 5-8 years of relevant working experiencePossess critical thinking and “challenge status quo” mindsetStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMeticulous, resourceful, and proactiveGood interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)Able to work under time pressures and fast paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office (esp. Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)We are offering a two-year contract for this position and only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
