Job Description

Job Title: Manager, TalentDepartment: HR&CLocation: Pandora Production Vietnam (VSIP3, Binh Duong Province)Reports To: Senior Manager, HR&CAbout Company:To meet the growing demand for our jewelry and enhance resilience to supply disruptions, Pandora is constructing a new facility in Binh Duong province from May 2024, expected to be opened in 2026. Pandora, the world’s largest jewelry brand by sold pieces, currently has 3 production facilities in Thailand with 13,000 staff. The US$160 million factory will cover an area of 7,5 hectares and will be powered by 100% renewable energy and using only recycled gold and silver supporting the Pandora Group’s target of net zero emissions by 2040. The establishment of Pandora’s sustainable jewelry manufactory in addition to the carbon-neutral exemplifies a new paradigm of environmentally conscious entrepreneurship in Vietnam and beyond.Key Objectives:Developing, executing, and overseeing a comprehensive jewelry skill development program, including essential competencies such as machinery operation, shopfloor management, quality control, and mandatory warehouse management skills.Supervise end-to-end learning & development programs of technical and leadership skill in production and production support scope.Key Duties:Skill Development Program DesignCreate and sustain a jewelry skill development curriculum that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and industry benchmarks, encompassing additional technical proficiencies essential for production, such as machinery operation, shopfloor management, quality control, and mandatory warehouse management skills.Develop dual skills / Multi skills annual plan and programs.Develop master training plan to cope up with the ramp-up phase of Pandora Production Vietnam.Skill Level Standardization and Skill MatrixStandardize skill levels across various jewelry-related positions, providing clear criteria for skill assessment and compensation determination.Develop a skill matrix to visualize and quantify employees' skill levels, aiding in targeted skill development efforts.Create and maintain a skill database to catalog and categorize the skills of jewelry professionals.Training DeliveryOrganize and deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance the skills of jewelry artisans and professionals.Develop OJT Annual Plan and Program and ensure the effectiveness of OJT programsArrange refreshment for existing craftspeople to uplift standard skill.Manage on the professionalism of the jewelry skills training and development, ensure on standard quality, accurate, impactful and cost effective.Content DevelopmentCreate training materials, including manuals, guides, videos, and online resources, to support skill development programs.Manage and incorporate with expert in create and develop course outline, learning materialAssessment and EvaluationEstablish methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs and continuously improve them based on feedback and responsibilitySkill-Based CompensationInnovate and implement a skill-based compensation framework.Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure equitable and competitive compensation packages for skilled jewelry professionals.Technology IntegrationStay current with technological advancements in the jewelry industry, identify relevant tools and processes, and integrate them into training programs.CollaborationWork closely with production, product development, Innovation and other stakeholders to identify skill gaps and customize training programs accordingly.Industry ResearchStay updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure that training materials and programs remain relevant.Budget ManagementDevelop and manage the budget for skill development programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.ReportingGenerate regular reports and metrics on the effectiveness and impact of skill development initiatives, skill-based compensation, and technological advancements for presentation to senior management.Team ManagementSupervise a team and providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering field. Education background in HR field (is a plus).Minimum 10 years of working experienceHand on experience in trainer or facilitator in manufacturingExperience in technical training and developmentUnderstand learning & developing methodology and modelDrive the solution to most complex business problems.Possess the strategic perspective and create sustained results for Pandora (financial, non-financial).Demonstrate ability to make hard decisions, making the right trade-offs.Effectively plan and efficiently deliver exceptional work while handling both volume and complexity.Be an inspirational leader; practices genuine humility and places the team above their own interests.Be self-motivated and hungry enough to work hard; willing to change.Be smart about other people; has an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and run own team of future leaders.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; interact effectively with the organization.
