This can include tasks such as market research, advertising, promotion, sponsorship, cross border marketing, event planning, marketing services and client support. The goal of the marketing team is to increase brand awareness and usage, and to drive customer engagement, acquisition, and ultimately, business. This can be accomplished through a variety of strategies and tactics, including creating and distributing content, launching advertising campaigns, building partnerships with influencers, merchant partners and clients, and using data analytics to track and measure the success of efforts. What a Marketing Manager does at Visa:The Manager at Visa plays a crucial role in driving the company's marketing efforts. They are responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to attract potential partners/clients and retain existing ones. The responsibilities include market research to identify opportunities for partnerships which provides a great platform for campaigns and promotions, overseeing the production of all marketing materials, and tracking the success of marketing campaigns. The Manager works closely with both external partners and internal local/global stakeholders across functions to align the company's marketing strategy with its business goals.Core Responsibilities: Execute strategic marketing plans with a focus on sponsorship and partnership initiatives. Support the Director to drive the development of new business opportunities through innovative sponsorship and partnership models. Manage multiple sponsorship projects, collaborating and engaging directly with partners and clients, leveraging organizational assets. Oversee the production and delivery of sponsorship-related marketing materials and campaigns. Maintain and enhance key sponsorship assets, working closely with partners to maximize impact and usage. Track and analyze the effectiveness of sponsorship and partnership programs, providing recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with internal teams (product, consumer marketing, client marketing) and external agencies to ensure alignment and effective execution. Overall Marketing Responsibilities:Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing executions, especially in partnership and sponsorship activities. Influence other functional teams within the organization to support marketing programs and activities, keeping them informed and engaged. Comply with all Finance, Legal, Risk and Audit requirements for Visa and its partners including contracts, invoice processing and completion certificatesWork closely with advertising, media, digital, and promotion agencies to ensure the delivery and execution of projects, and to foster innovative approaches to sponsorship and partnership marketing strategies. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Full bilingual in English and Japanese with Bachelor’s degree.
