Job Description

Information Services provides operational support to the departments’ front-line services and partners through the delivery of efficient, innovative and seamless access to reliable Information Communication and Technology (ICT) systems and information. While Information Services is part of the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety, the team also provides a service to portfolios within the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, and Multiculturalism (DWATSIPM), and the Youth Justice portfolio of Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support (DYJVS).

You will lead and manage the Managed Solutions team for the design, development, implementation and support of enterprise solutions for client agencies. Lead and manage a professional team undertaking the governance, design, development and support of ICT enterprise solutions for multiple client agencies within a SaaS managed services environment. Provide strategic and high-level advice to executive and senior management of Information Services and its client agencies on issues associated with the contract management, development, delivery and governance of ICT enterprise solutions delivered through external managed services.

Lead the assessment, development, promotion and implementation of methodologies, guidelines, standards and tools to establish a best practice approach in delivery and support of SaaS managed services. Work collaboratively and consult closely with vendors, business process owners and stakeholders to ensure solutions respond to legislative and compliance, business operational, and information requirements. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders to assist in the successful delivery of agreed projects. Identify and provide advice on industry developments and initiatives which may provide strategic opportunities for client agencies and Information Services.

Establish systems and processes that provide clients, the department and stakeholders with timely reports, information and advice. Negotiate consultancy and other agreements as required and lead and manage consultants, partners and contractors undertaking activities on behalf of client agencies.
