Location: UKSector: Construction Rental Equipment This role will report into the Chief Operating Officer - Europe. For the first 1 to 2 years, there will be a keen focus on customer retention and business development with overall responsibility for increasing turnover, leading the UK business units and improving the businesses overall market strategy. Key criteria;The candidate MUST have at least 5 years of experience as a Managing Director of a business worth £200m+.You will have demonstrable experience of managing multiple support functions simultaneously, including; Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, Communications, Supply Chain and Technical.You MUST have managed a P&L of more than £150m to be considered.APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT MEET THE KEY CRITERIA WILL BE UNSUCCESSFUL.Responsibility Overview;Will report into the Chief Operating Officer and have a focus on customer retention and business development with overall responsibility for increasing turnover, leading the UK business and improving the businesses overall market strategy.Take control of the sales focus across the UK by identifying new areas of the market.You will ensure that existing customers are maintained, new customers are identified and secured and all current sales channels/routes to market in Europe are analysed Oversee; Strategy, Results, Financial Management, Leadership, Productivity, Business Development, Customer Service, Structure and Safety.What we are looking for;You will have a track record of growing a business and revenue portfolio preferably in the Construction Rental Equipment sector. Previous experience in; Material Handling, Access Equipment or Cranes.Previous track record of running a Retail business – multi-depot management is seen as advantageous in this process. Previous examples of P&L responsibility of more than £150m per year.Driven, open-minded and motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels, particularly colleagues and customers.Ability to work well with peers, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and influence other leaders. Strong data analysis skills with the ability to spot trends and interpret data.Ability to balance short- and long-term goals, motivated to hit performance targets and assigns clear levels of responsibility to team members.
