Managing Director

Our ClientA fast growing IT services company based in the UK. The company has wide scale contracts across the public sector and are looking to scale and grow the business over the coming years through to a successful exit. The RoleThe Managing Director will report directly into the CEO and take over the running of the day to day operations of the business. Overseeing a team of 15 people, the MD will play a critical role in aligning teams, driving performance, and positioning the company for a potential future transaction. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to instil structure across the organisation. Main DutiesProvide overall leadership, ensuring the business is structured and scalable for future growth. Establish accountability frameworks for individuals and teams, particularly around time management and performance.Drive sales team with clear targets, forecasting, and visibility of activity.Work with the leadership team (HR, Service Delivery, Accounts) to align functions with business objectives.Oversee financial performance and ensure business profitability. The Successful Candidate Proven leadership experience, ideally at MD or senior management level.Background in IT or technology Experience of working either in the public sector or with the public sector Comfortable in a growing, entrepreneurial environment Experience in scaling a business and ideally in preparing for or delivering on a company sale would be highly desirable What’s on offer?
