Manufacturing Buyer

What You Will Do-Purchase materials, components, and/or equipment at the lowest cost consistent with quality and urgency of need to support planned production. Coordinate the activities with manufacturing unit to maintain inventory at planned levels. Maintain system data to support MRP such as safety stock levels, MOQ, ROP, etc. Job consists of 80% tactical responsibilities and 20% strategic projects.Additional Responsibilities:Support production to provide excellent customer serviceManage purchase ordersSupplier management and negotiationExpediting and managing MRP messagesDetermine part dispositionControl document revisionsInventory control/reduction initiativesNew product introduction supportAssist implementation of new programs and processParticipant on supplier audits and supplier visitsWhat You Need-Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management highly preferredExperience in purchasing/buying or other areas of supply chain preferredAPICS or Project Management certifications preferredAdvanced Excel skills and PowerBI experience a plus Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
