As part of the DHL Group, you will be working with a global network of Internal Audit colleagues and benefit from a wide range of development opportunities.We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent staff position in San Jose, Costa Rica.Job Purpose:This role reports to a Regional Internal Auditor Manager for the Supply Chain Corporate Audit Team in Plantation, Florida and will be based out of the Shared Service Center in El Cafetal, Heredia - San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will be part of the audit team responsible for audits in multiple areas of the DHL Supply Chain Americas division.Your tasks:Gain understanding of DHL Supply Chain operational processes (transport, warehousing, business management systems), financial processes (order to cash, purchase to pay, controlling), and other business areas. Prepare, plan, and execute process and risk-based audits of operational and financial activities.Review and analyze preliminary data prior to fieldwork to support the risk assessment.Proficient in the use of audit software or tools to extract company data files and deliver a high level of analytical output for testing.Participate and lead in inquiries, interviews and stakeholder observations.Verify that internal controls are adequately addressing identified risks, comply with company policies and procedures and satisfy regulatory requirements.Execute substantive testing by analyzing documents, records, ledger accounts, operational data, costs and related factors.Develop tools, audit approach and audit programs in strong cooperation with the Supply Chain audit team, making adjustments to the extent and nature of audit programs where necessary.Document audit procedures and observations made during audit projects, in line with Internal Audit standards.Prepare high quality audit reports by summarizing audit findings and recommendations.Effectively deliver oral presentation of findings and recommendations to Management.Perform audit follow-up procedures as necessary.Manage own development in the professional area proactively.Your profile:Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting and/or Master’s Degree a plus.Minimum three years of audit experience in a multi-national, leading public accounting firm (Big 8) or within the Internal Audit function of a multinational company.Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or similar frameworks) is preferred.Knowledge of Controlling, and/or Corporate Finance matters is a plus.Ability to think analytically and grasp complex structures, conceptual skills and applying critical thinking.Collaborative team player, high degree of integrity, high initiative and professional judgement.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Good communication & negotiation skills with strong reasoning; comfortable in multicultural settings.Strong English written and verbal communication skills, and ability to speak Portuguese is a plus.Skillful in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word), data analytics tools and ability to learn proprietary software.Flexibility and willingness to travel primarily in North and South America up to 35% of the year.We offer:Great opportunity to work for the biggest logistics company in the worldInternational and virtual environmentFlexibility and great opportunity to learnDHL is an equal opportunity employer.
