U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is an international tier-onesupplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry.The manufacturing engineer position develops and recommendscost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance withproduct specifications and quality standards; recommends improvements toproduction processes, methods and controls; helps to coordinatemanufacturing launches for new or revised products. Helps totroubleshoot equipment and determine the root cause of the equipmentfailure as needed throughout the plant. Essential Duties andResponsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this jobare included but not limited to this job description other tasks may beassigned and expected to be performed. Recommends process improvement,problem resolution and employee training. Helps improve manufacturingprocesses and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement andefficiency. Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinatedeployment including training of team members. Monitors processconditions of Manufacturing Equipment Lead investigations intomanufacturing abnormalities, determine root cause and suggestcountermeasures Identify safety improvements and risk mitigation Supportcapacity analysis and ROI with ME on current and future year plansSupport ME with time study analysis, and capital planning initiatives.Assists the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving a system ofproduction control, standard operating procedures, safety, qualitycontrol and training. Helps to coordinate the manufacturing launch ofnew/revised products including establishing goals, training team membersand evaluating results. Designs, develops and tests and/or sources andcost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommendedmanufacturing methods. Performs product/process analysis for costreduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. Representsmanufacturing on cross-functional teams. Assemble mechanical and /orelectronic devices and assemblies referring to engineeringspecifications, prints and layouts. PLC Programming and troubleshootingskills Requirements BS in Mechanical Engineering 1 -5 years of relatedjob experience. Manufacturing experience in a fast paced/high volumemetal working business preferred CAD Knowledge Must have good writtenand verbal communication skills and have the ability to be approachableand tactful. Good Math and computer skills. (Office, Word, Excel, etc.,)Good organizational and planning skills. Must be able to manage multiplepriorities and/or projects simultaneously.
