Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their dynamic team in Kariega/ UitenhagePOSITION INFO:Job Responsibilities: Direct the manufacturing engineers/ process specialists, in defining technical specifications for new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities including leading the projects launches and production transfers.Support continuous improvement efforts: propose and implement continuous productivity, efficiency and quality improvement actions for the facility.Support the development of target material & information flow analysis (MIFA) and plant layout.Develop capital budget requirements to adhere to established facility standards.Ensure the continuous development and coaching of manufacturing engineering team.Direct plant manufacturing engineering standard applications and strategic intent.Assure compliance of the documented quality system (IATF16949) and promote consistency throughout the organizationUphold the company’s Code of Management and Code of Ethics.Support the Maintenance manager when required with, repair and preventative maintenance for plant equipment; define and monitor quality/cost/delivery objectives given to external companies when intervening; computer aided maintenance management system for the plantJob Requirements: B degree/Diploma in engineering, with a specialisation in mechanics and automationAt least 7 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
