The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.With the most modern dairy manufacturing facilities on a cross-border basis, the Group supplies to a broad customer base including some of the world’s foremost ‘blue chip’ companies across the dairy food ingredients, foodservice and consumer food channels on a domestic Ireland, UK, European and global basis.Internationally we exportsome 240 different products to over 100 countries worldwide.The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.We are now seeking applications for the position of Manufacturing Planner within the Planning Department, Foodservice & Consumer Foods. This role can be based at any of the Foodservice & Consumer Foods sites.The RoleThe role is responsible for the creation of efficient manufacturing plans for production lines in the Food Service & Consumer Foods Division, ensuring the optimisation of manufacturing resource, inventory supply and customer service levels. The Role requires close collaboration with Manufacturing, Purchasing, QA, Warehousing, Distribution and Customer Care.IndividualThe individual will be a self-starter with an ability to work on their own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail. This is a fast-paced working environment so the successful applicant will need to be flexible, adaptable to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.ExperienceThe successful candidate should ideally be able to demonstrate relevant experience in Planning or Forecasting, Manufacturing or other Supply Chain function. Previous relevant experience of Production Planning, Forecasting and/or Scheduling as well as previous experience of working in an ERP/MRP environment is desirable.EducationA relevant third level qualification is desirable but is not essential. Excellent IT skills including ERP systems and MS Office packages.
