Position Title: Process Engineer – MachiningJob Summary:The Process Engineer (Machining) is responsible for developing, industrializing, and sustaining machining processes for turbine component repair. This role ensures that machining processes are production-ready, repeatable, and compliant with engineering and quality requirements. The engineer will collaborate closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to introduce new repair methods and maintain stable, capable machining operations that meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) objectives.Key Responsibilities:Develop and industrialize CNC machining processes (e.g., CNC Mill/Turn, EDM) for turbine component repair.Support First Piece and Pilot Lot Qualifications (FPQ/PLQ) and ensure smooth transition into production.Maintain and update process documentation, including work instructions, setup sheets, and control plans.Troubleshoot machining issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machine qualification, calibration, and reliability.Lead safety, quality, and productivity improvement initiatives through Lean and continuous improvement projects.Support technician training and ensure compliance with EHS standards and Life Saving Rules.Work cross-functionally to sustain high-quality, reliable machining operations.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.Minimum of 3 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering, preferably in a related industry.Hands-on experience with CNC machining processes and repair of turbine components is an advantage.Knowledge of tooling selection, fixture design, CAD/CAM, and metrology.Background in industrial gas turbine, aerospace turbine, or aeroderivative repair is beneficial.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred but not mandatory.
