Job Title: Market Research AnalystDepartment: MarketingLocation: BaghdadEmployment Type: Full-time  Position Overview: The Market Research Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting market data to support Al-Nakheel’s strategic decisions. The role involves researching customer trends, competitor activities, pricing models, regulatory environments, and market opportunities across Iraq.Key Responsibilities:Market Analysis:● Conduct research to identify market size, demand trends, and customer segments for solar energy solutions in Iraq. ● Analyze industry trends, government policies, and renewable energy incentives. ● Monitor and report on emerging technologies, competitor strategies, and international market benchmarks.Competitor Research:● Identify and track key competitors operating in Iraq and the region. ● Analyze competitor product offerings, pricing models, market share, partnerships, and positioning. ● Provide monthly competitor intelligence reports to management.  Customer Insights:● Conduct surveys, interviews, and customer satisfaction studies. ● Identify customer needs, preferences, and buying behaviors. ● Analyze key factors that influence residential and commercial solar adoption in Iraq. Pricing & Financial Analysis:● Research pricing structures across local and international solar providers. ● Provide pricing intelligence to support Al-Nakheel’s pricing strategy and proposals. ● Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new product offerings or service models. Strategic Reporting:● Prepare detailed research reports, presentations, and market briefs for management. ● Support marketing and sales teams with data-driven recommendations. ● Present research findings during strategy meetings and planning sessions. Government & Regulation Tracking: ● Stay up-to-date with Iraq’s energy regulations, permits, tariffs, and government programs related to solar energy. ● Identify and report on regulatory risks or opportunities. Qualifications & Requirements: ● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, or related field. ● 3+ years of proven experience in market research, data analysis, or business intelligence (preferably in energy, construction, or industrial sectors). ● Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into clear business recommendations. ● Proficient in research tools, Excel, data visualization, and reporting platforms. ● Strong understanding of Iraq’s economic and energy landscape. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English. ● Ability to work independently and deliver timely, actionable reports.
