The Marketing & Advertising Trainee will assist the Marketing Coordinators and Marketing Director in the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns across digital channels with an emphasis on paid and owned digital campaigns. In addition, the Marketing & Advertising Trainee will work on all experiential marketing endeavors to enhance fan engagement, specifically in outer markets. The Trainee will also have a primary role in executing the Atlanta Braves Kids Club program. Lastly, this role will gain invaluable experience in email marketing by learning to build and deploy various email campaignsThe Marketing Department acts as an internal agency, working collaboratively with all departments (including Ticket Sales, Premium Sales, Community Affairs, Diversity & Inclusion, Corporate Partnerships, Meetings & Events, etc) to help them achieve their goals through various marketing initiatives and campaigns. The Marketing Department also works very closely with the Business Intelligence team to provide engaging content to targeted segments of fans.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Assist with ad trafficking process for digital paid media campaigns across platforms including: social media, programmatic display, digital video, digital audio, and MLB.tvIdeate and produce content for Truist Park social media accounts and manage Truist Park social media calendarManage and traffic promotional ads on braves.comHelp support email operations by learning to build templates, assist with email copy, and deploy emails in conjunction with MLB. Will serve as the primary liaison for the Growing the Game and Retail departments and assist with email needs for other stakeholders as needed. Assist in planning and executing experiential marketing events throughout Atlanta and the Southeast, including liaising with external agency and vendorsSupport the Braves Kids Club Program by assisting with Kids Club Sundays, email inbox & ID management, Kids Club Kit tracking, and brainstorming ideas to grow the program. Manage, schedule and traffic all Braves owned highway marquee billboardsCoordinate the organization of content and push notifications for the MLB Ballpark App. Manage Media Ticket Trade program, including media partner evaluations and ticket fulfillment processManage TV & radio affiliate affidavit trackingAssist with reporting needs and campaign recaps, with an emphasis on TV, Radio, OOH, and Braves.com platforms. Actively participate in weekly marketing meetings and brainstorming sessions related to proposed marketing projectsConduct ongoing research to evaluate MLB, other sports and the general market to uncover ideas and refine best practicesWillingness to work nights and weekends during the baseball seasonTRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the companyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Customer service orientedExcellent executive presenceAbility to work long hours, weekends, and holidaysMust complete a background checkADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:College degree with an emphasis on Business, Marketing, Advertising and/or Sports ManagementDemonstrated ability to multi-task, think creatively, analyze data, and problem solveMust be detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be a team-first player who works well with othersMust possess natural curiosity and ambition to aid in moving the business forwardExperience running organic or paid social campaigns a plusShould have strong organizational skillsAbility to use Word, Excel, and PowerPointThe Atlanta National League Baseball Club, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
