This role reports to the Director of Marketing.Position SummaryThe Marketing and Business Development Manager will support a variety or marketing and business development initiatives focused on elevating the firm’s brand within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role will work directly with the Senior Regional Marketing & Business Development Manager and Director of Marketing & Client Management as an integral part of the firm’s marketing and business development team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops relationships with attorneys to serve as point of contact for day-today requests and marketing and business development needs and understands the market, office initiatives and representations of key clientsStrategizes with shareholders on responses to RFPs and proposals including analyzing market research and analysis on prospect companies and business sectors, in coordination with practice and office professionals. Drafts responses, coordinates research, and prepares presentations as necessary, managing the full cycle of the RFP processMaintain database and other lists of panel appointments and related government RFP portalsCoordinates responses to marketing surveys, directories, and local and national nominationsWorks with events and practice professionals to plan, organize and host client events including the preparation of conference/webinar materials. Manages all aspects of events including concept and agenda development with attorneys, invitation, coordination with venue, among other event duties. Evaluates return on investment before and after each event and closely manage budgetSupports attorney on-boarding and integrationPrepares welcome materials for new attorneys. Including working with lateral shareholders to help integrate them, including helping them prioritize which attorneys to meet internallyCoordinates the flow of information from attorneys to marketing professionalsWorks with Senior Marketing & Business Development Manager to ensure content on website, biographies and other marketing systems is current and updated as appropriateWorks with individual shareholders and practice group leaders to develop, implement, and support business plans that align with the practice and firm strategic goalsAssists with and manages a variety of short and long-term projects and attorney requestsQualificationsSkills & CompetenciesA self-starter and team player, able to accept direction, yet work independently and take initiativeMeticulous attention to detailAbility to manage multiple competing prioritiesAbility to work in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environmentOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oralStrong client-first work ethicRemain calm in the face of pressureAbility to effectively interface with all levels of personnel within the organizationEducation & Prior ExperienceBachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of seven years relevant experience in marketing and business development at a law firm of other professional services firm, with proven experience responding to proposals and RFPsFluency in English and ArabicTechnologyHigh level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
