Our client in the restaurant and food service space is seeking a Marketing Operations Project Manager to join their team full-time out of Greensboro, NC. This is a direct hire role, and will require being on-site Monday-Thursday.The Marketing Operations Project Manager will lead the Marketing Operations team, setting the vision for standardized processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring alignment across marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing marketing project workflows, driving technology adoption, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to enhance marketings strategic impact as well as plays a critical role in structing unique projects (i.e. sponsorships or events) to ensure they integrate seamlessly into marketings workflow.Key Job Functions30%: Leadership and Team ManagementLeads, coaches, and develops the Marketing Operations team, setting the vision, goals and priorities for marketing workflow and project execution.Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and problem-solving while supporting team growth.25% Cross-Functional Alignment & Process OptimizationCollaborates with Operations, REx, Training, and Development to ensure marketing initiatives are well-integrated into restaurant execution.Acts as a bridge between marketing and field teams, ensuring seamless communication and implementation of campaigns that impact front-line employees.Leads efforts to improve workflow efficiency and align marketing operations with company objectives.Serves as the liaison between Marketing, IT, and other cross-functional teams, driving process efficiency and project visibility.Identifies workflow gaps and recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency and execution.Oversees all production-related workflows, ensuring that processes support successful execution, maintain quality standards, and drive operational effectiveness.Partners with the proper marketing member to hand off all production execution.Leads the streamlining of approval processes, onboarding for new marketing initiatives, and routing workflows.Work to automate data gathering and reporting to improve marketing efficiency and decision-making.20% Marketing Program Curation & Technology Enablement/AdoptionLeads the selection, process, adoption, implementation, and optimization of marketing technology solutions, ensuring they align with business needs and enhance team efficiency.Experience with collaboration and partnering with marketing as well as with IT to implement and manage marketing technologies such as CRM, Loyalty, OLO, DAM, CDP, Employee Engagement Tool, or workflow management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Asana, Basecamp, etc.)Drive the adoption and integration of these technologies into marketing workflows, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing value.Oversees Smartsheet program curation and marketing team adoption, including weekly workspace maintenance and enhancements, to streamline project visibility and execution.Continuously evaluates emerging tools and innovations to keep marketing operations agile and data driven.Trains marketing team members on the new tools and best practices. Also acts as the liaison for technical issues with 3rd party vendors to ensure issues are resolved for seamless integration within the platforms for which they are responsible.15% Project & Workflow GovernanceEstablishes and refines marketing project management frameworks, ensuring structured workflows support consistent execution across initiatives.Oversees project prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking to drive efficiency and accountability.Ensures that atypical or ad hoc projects are systematized for long-term execution by the Marketing Operations team.Partners with marketing stakeholders to communicate quarterly promotional timelines, ensures alignment across marketing, internal stakeholders and creative teams.Oversees and communicates New Unit Growth (NUG) timelines, ensuring marketing efforts support stores openings with coordinated execution.10% Marketing Budget ManagementOversee and manage budget allocations for NUG costs, promotional products and special fulfillment projects.Works with CMO to manage marketing operations budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and supporting budget forecasting efforts for marketing initiatives.Knowledge, Skills And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management or a related field, with experience in a supervisory role.Strong understanding of Marketing workflows, campaign execution, and cross-functional collaboration.Proven ability to develop and optimize operational processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.Expertise in project governance, resource allocation, and workflow automation to improve marketing efficiency.Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across departments such as Operations, Training, and IT.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and change management principles to drive marketing transformation.Experience with budget planning and vendor management for marketing technology and operations.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
