PalmPay is a Pan-African fintech company currently operating in Ghana, Nigeria and expanding to other markets in Tanzania. We’re reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to transfer money, pay bills and shop online.To support our video content strategy, we are hiring a talented Marketing Scriptwriter who can craft high-impact scripts that inform, inspire, and convert.As a Marketing Scriptwriter,you will be responsible for creating engaging, clear, and brand-aligned scripts for video content across various formats product explainers, promotional videos, customer education content, digital ads, tutorials, social media campaigns, and more.This role requires a strong command of storytelling, marketing psychology, and the ability to distill complex financial and technical concepts into content that resonates with diverse audiences from first-time users to sophisticated enterprise buyers.Key Responsibilities:Write compelling, high-quality scripts for:Explainer videos, onboarding tutorials, product walkthroughsMarketing campaigns, video ads, and promotional contentSocial media videos (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)Internal communications and executive messaging (as needed)Collaborate with marketing, brand, product, compliance, and creative teams to:Translate business objectives into video narrativesEnsure technical accuracy and legal compliance in all scriptsMaintain consistency in brand tone, voice, and messaging across content typesConduct research on industry trends, customer pain points, and competitive messaging to inform script strategyAdapt scripts for different channels and formats (short-form, long-form, motion graphics, voiceover, live-action)Participate in content planning, brainstorming sessions, and creative reviewsWork closely with video producers, actors, and motion designers to ensure successful execution of scriptsRequired Qualifications:3+ years of experience in scriptwriting, content writing, or copywriting with a portfolio of produced video contentProven experience crafting scripts for digital marketing or brand videosExceptional storytelling, structure, and dialogue-writing skillsAbility to simplify complex or technical topics for a general audienceStrong understanding of marketing strategy, buyer journeys, and calls to actionExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English (or [target market language])Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with cross-functional stakeholdersExperience working with creative briefs, brand guidelines, and production teamsPreferred Qualifications:Background in FinTech, SaaS, B2B technology, or financial servicesKnowledge of video production workflows (pre-production, production, post-production)Familiarity with tools like Notion, Google Workspace, Figma, Trello/Asana, Descript, or Adobe SuiteUnderstanding of content performance metrics and how to write for conversionExperience writing for different formats: voiceover, animated videos, live action, or influencer-style contentPowered by JazzHRRaWm7p1Ms4
