SUMMARY Nestled on the shores of Lake Lanier lies Lanier Island Resort – an island destination spread out across 1200 acres unlike any resort in Georgia. Our property features 282 guest rooms, indoor/outdoor meeting spaces, golf course, multiple dining options, nature trails, and other points of interest. As a licensed, on-call massage therapist, you will be responsible for welcoming our guests, educating them on our spa offerings, and customizing their service. Theymust possess excellent communication skills and provide product knowledge. They must hold andmaintain a current state license and proof of insurance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Provide individualized treatments that meet the clients’ needs and expectationsObtain the basic medical history for a client, assesses any problems or conditions, and suggest appropriate therapy based on current health of client.Ensure clients feel welcome when they arrive for their appointmentsMaintain spa appearance and cleanlinessUphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and proceduresStock and maintain treatments rooms according to standard operating proceduresPromote and up-sell products and servicesEnsure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the spaAssists Spa in activities such as staff meetings, promotions, housekeeping dutiesAssists with washing and folding of all linens used in treatment roomsArrives thirty (30) minutes prior to scheduled work timeMaintains and increases knowledge of treatments by attending in-house instruction, and education/training classesAssist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.RequirementsMaintain appropriate certification and licensureState Licensing requirement must be validTwo years prior experience in massage therapyPossess excellent communication skillsBe proficient in various body work techniques and modalitiesHave the ability to provide legible communicationHave knowledge of physiologyBe familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
