SummaryThe Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of physical and cyber security operations for HL-GA Battery Company’s advanced lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility. This position ensures the protection of personnel, property, and critical information assets by developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security programs, systems, and policies that align with company, regulatory, and industry standards.The Security Manager provides leadership and strategic direction for both the Physical Security Senior Specialist and the Cyber/Information Security Specialist, ensuring cohesive coordination between physical and digital security functions. This role also serves as the primary liaison with corporate leadership, external agencies, and law enforcement on matters related to security compliance, incident response, and audit readiness.Key Responsibilities Lead the company’s integrated physical and cyber security strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and global security standards. Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, visitor management, and alarm systems. Manage cybersecurity planning and performance, including security risk assessments, incident response, vulnerability management, and information protection measures. Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans across all HL-GA sites and operations. Conduct comprehensive security assessments and audits of facilities, systems, and processes to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions. Monitor and investigate all security breaches or incidents, ensuring appropriate escalation, documentation, and corrective measures. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, and third-party security contractors to support investigations and ensure compliance. Coordinate training and awareness programs to educate employees on physical security, data protection, emergency response, and workplace safety. Manage security budgets, contracts, and vendor performance to ensure operational efficiency and cost control. Provide leadership and oversight of internal and external audits, including the Korean Government Audit on the Protection of Korean National Core Technologies, ensuring full compliance and effective communication with relevant authorities. Stay informed of emerging security technologies, threats, and industry best practices to continuously improve the company’s overall security posture. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the company’s mission and operational objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, or related field required. Professional certification (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CASP, CPP, PSP) preferred. Must be willing to work flexible hours and respond to incidents as needed. Experience 5+ years of progressive experience in security management, including both physical and information security. Experience and knowledge of physical & cyber security systems required Proven experience leading multidisciplinary security teams and managing integrated security systems. Skills Problem solving and analytical skills Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, security compliance frameworks, and incident response management. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic security programs across multiple sites. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and report writing. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual in English and Korean preferred for effective coordination with HQ and regulatory bodies.
