Campari Group is today the sixth-largest player worldwide in the premium spirits industry.Company: Campari Mexico Job Title: Material Planner Job Location: MexicoReports to: America Material Planning Director (NAMPD), and Sr. Supply Chain Director, Mexico (functional)Organizational Layer (global, regional or local): LocalGeneral Description Of The RoleThe Material Planner is responsible for executing, controlling, and monitoring Direct Material supply planning and inventory management activities with the objectives of maintain stable and accurate inventory levels, high service levels for the Arandas & Co-Manufacturing plants under its scope. The Planner maintains the balance between supply of raw and packaging materials and consumption at the plant level, increasing inventory visibility and efficiency while optimizing inventory investment.Mission/Objectives The Planner is the owner of all activities related to meeting the Material plan for the full scope of the Campari’s activities in Arandas and Co-packers. In collaboration with the Supply Planner, Supply Response Planner, the Bottling team and with the guidance of the Materials Planning Director, the Planner ensures the supply of raw materials as well as ingredients in line with forecasts, planned production and inventory policies. The role is responsible for reporting tasks, as well as escalating risk to the plan. The Planner actively seeks root causes of Material supply issues, identifying the problem sources, proposing solutions, implementing the fix and monitoring that the root cause has been resolved, to sustain the positive change.Key Responsibilities And ActivitiesStrategyProvides an input to the development and implementation of the planning strategy, reporting and analytics best practices, as well as the master data management policies and guidelines.In line with inventory management guidelines, supports the NAMPD in analyzing performance data and monitoring performance against set KPI’s and when necessary contributes to the definition of the KPIs.Contributes to the deployment of sustainable materials planning actions following inventory management guidelines and planning principles.Planning/Purchasing activitiesIdentify materials availability constraints to production plans and advise the Supply Response team so that adjustments to the Production Plan can be made.Execute the MRP process to generate purchase requirements that ensures availability of MRO and raw/packaging material required to meet production plans and schedules.Monitor changes to MRP output to identify Purchase Orders (POs) that require expediting or delay and coordinate with the vendors and Procurement for remedial action.Provide purchasing projections for MROs and raw/packaging material.Develop and maintain MRO and raw/packaging material depletion reports as needed.Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchase requirements to ensure levels meet targets.Generates planning reports relating to MRO and raw/packaging materials as required.Assists the NAMPD with the identification of slow moving and obsolete packaging and raw material stockEnsure that requisitions are approved as per the Release Strategy Guidelines.Prepare Purchase Orders with all required information.Follow-up with suppliers to ensure that goods are delivered in accordance with the stipulated lead times and identify any and all risk to the NAMPD & Supply Response Team.Oversees all activities carried out by the Junior Material PlannerRespond to queries or complaints from internal customers and suppliers.Oversees the maintenance of item master data file for all critical parameters as outlined by the company most importantly lead time, minimum order quantity and unit of measure conversions must be maintained. Responsible for the optimal implementation of processes and systems as well as the continuous improvement in relation to the management of materials at the local level (with the support of the regional and global team)Collaborates with Procurement to drive supplier performance improvement, including quality and timely delivery in accordance with MPS.Prepare monthly supplier service delivery reports as required.Ensure that the monthly accrual process is carried out by the stipulated deadline.Follow up with suppliers for credit relating to short supply or defective materials.Resolve discrepancies with suppliers related to quantities supplied. Discrepancies with prices are to be referred to the Procurement Team.Oversees all activities carried out by the Junior Material PlannerPerform other related duties from time to time.Authority Work is performed independently with only general direction. The Planner is empowered to make decisions that affect the inflow and material levels at the plants, in accordance with policy.
