You will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to drive quality excellence, strengthen supplier capabilities, and ensure compliance with Watlow’s standards.We are looking for a problem solver and continuous improver who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll leverage your engineering expertise, auditing experience, and quality management skills to make a real impact on product performance and customer satisfaction.What You’ll DoLead supplier evaluations and audits for new and existing Watlow suppliers. Support NPD, Global Footprint, and Supply Chain projects by assessing and qualifying new suppliers. Deploy Watlow requirements to suppliers, identify capability gaps, and drive improvement plans. Lead supplier readiness and performance improvement initiatives before product launches. Utilize performance data to identify opportunities and enhance supplier performance. Ensure compliance with change control and quality system requirements through training and audits. Lead 8D corrective action activities, ensuring robust problem-solving and root cause analysis. What You’ll Need To SucceedEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field. Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering/design or manufacturing/process roles. Minimum 5 years in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Supply Chain. Skills And KnowledgeStrong experience with auditing processes (quality systems, PPAP, process audits). Expertise in 8D, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, and related quality tools. Proven ability in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015, IATF16949, and related standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to engage all levels of supplier organizations. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Additional Success FactorsProject management experience and direct interaction with domestic and international suppliers. Advocacy for suppliers while maintaining focus on Watlow’s and customers’ needs. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Ability to identify safety risks during supplier visits. Familiarity with Watlow’s products (heaters, sensors, controls). Alignment with Watlow Way Values, Behaviors, and Principles. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 50%).
