The Team: This person would be part of a larger ‘brand activation’ team – responsible for activating Mattel’s brands at a local level. This includes: Select and manage the range of Balkan markets. Define and manage A&P budget. Create local marketing plans and activate them. Creating presentations and presenting to retail partners. Work with the Sales team to ensure the growth targets on the brands are met. Job Description:
The Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for supporting the development of Brand and Category strategies at a local level as well as delivering local Marketing plans, tactics (4P’s) and assets that work effectively in the region in order to gain category share in a profitable way, maximize opportunities and to improve our competitive position. The role requires that the ABM works effectively with multiple contacts across the business; local Marketing team, local Sales Team, local Consumer Products and Franchise team, Regional and Global Brand teams to deliver the Brand action plans. The person will report to Marketing Manager.
What Your Impact Will Be: Develop and execute the local Brand Franchise strategies in partnership with the Brand Managers. Collaborate closely with the other members of the Marketing Team (day to day communication) for effective brand management. Media Agency management; collaborate with external partners on delivering standout campaigns with clear results and learnings. Lead local Social Media and Influencer content and calendar campaign planning and execution, working with agencies to deliver thisDeliver compelling product and marketing presentations to sales and external retailers and partners. Contribute to joint meetings with top markets and global teams offering feedback for Balkan markets.
Partner with the regional, sales, planning and supply team for day-to-day management of the Balkan business. Manage local A&P spend management in line with brand priorities. Share learnings of best practice within regional and global teams. ExperienceSignificant commercial/marketing experience at a similar level within Brand Marketing in Toys, FMCG or licensed consumer goods or Franchise Management experience at a Licensor (preferably in the children’s sector)Experience with an international/cross-cultural environment.
