Job Description

Candidates will have experience in design, detailing, installation, and evaluation of building envelope components with a thorough knowledge of industry standard design practices and codes. High rise experience is desired for this is a rapidly growing forensic investigation market. Industry experience should include building envelope assessment, building rehabilitation, restoration, design review, field-testing of building envelope components and trade coordination. Litigation and pre-litigation support services experience should include cause and origin investigations and damage assessments of roofing, fenestrations, and envelopes of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, as well as design and construction defect evaluation.

Experience serving as a liaison for building owner(s), architect, contractor, subcontractor, project engineer, and building officials is desired. Additionally desired is experience performing project management for new construction and re-construction on residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Appropriate candidates will have experience in advanced HVAC/Plumbing analysis and the ability to develop, analyze, and evaluate detailed construction documents, drawings, and/or specifications. Candidates should demonstrate creative thinking in order to resolve complex structural design problems. Additionally, candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have a collaborative and team-oriented attitude.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesBuilding inspector for both commercial and residential properties, including multi-family and high-rise desired. Designated fenestration expert with specialized experience in construction defect litigation. Project manager and in-house fenestration expert; responsible for manufacturer, developer, and subcontractor coordination. Provided expert testimony in various construction defect cases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willing to travel within the State, with potential for regional travel.
