Job TitleMechanical ArchitectJob DescriptionAs a Mechanical Architect in our S&RC business unit, you will support remediation, relaunch (MLD), Sustenance and NPI activities and lead mechanical architecture and design for CPAP/BiPAP devices (Dream Station 1 & 2), driving product lifecycle activities including Modify Launched Design (MLD), PDLM, and CAPA. Collaborate across functions and suppliers to deliver robust, compliant, and innovative solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead design changes and MLD activities for Sleep therapy devices.Define and maintain modular, scalable mechanical architecture.Ensure safety, reliability, and performance compliance.Drive technical roadmap, feasibility studies, and innovation.Guide cross-functional teams and suppliers through development and risk management (FMEA, DFMEA).Ensure alignment with QMS, regulatory standards, and global engineering practices.You are a part of Connected Care cluster organization, focusing onthe development of mechanical and electrical designs for a common platform serving multiple product lines. This tradition of innovation, combined with our ability to anticipate market needs, has made Philips a global leader in the markets we serve.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15 years of experience.Expertise in machine design, mechanisms, materials, and value engineering.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, plastics, machining).Proficiency in DFMEA, DFM, CTS/CTQ, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.Experience with CAD tools (Creo, ProE, SolidWorks), simulation (ANSYS), and PLM (Windchill).Prior working experience in medical device design.Familiarity with medical device standards (IEC, FDA, UL, CE).Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.How We Work TogetherWe believe that we are better together than apart.
