Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Mechanical Designer with strong proficiency in SolidWorks, specializing in sheet metal design and weldment applications. The ideal candidate will transform concepts into precise 3D models and manufacturing drawings, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Key Skills/Responsibilities:Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, focusing on sheet metal and weldment components.Apply SolidWorks Sheet Metal and Weldments tools to create accurate flat patterns, cut lists, and fabrication-ready designs.Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to refine designs for manufacturability and assembly.Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and material selection to meet performance and cost targets.Maintain and update design documentation, BOMs, and revision control in line with company standards.Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies. Qualifications:Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fieldProven experience in SolidWorks (including Sheet Metal and Weldments modules).Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding standards, and material propertiesAbility to interpret and create technical drawings to ISO/ASME standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
