Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.Job PurposeResponsible for design, development, evaluation, analysis, selecting and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products and systems. Oversees and manages the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment/processes/systems. Keeps current on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Provides expert technical support to operations and other disciplines within engineering organization. Identifies, develops, recommends, and manages processes needed to produce specific products and components.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesManage approved engineering projectsSupports specific production areas with respect to throughput, scrap, quality, ergonomics, staffing and flexibilityDevelop, implement and manage manufacturing process improvementsProvide advanced technical support to maintenance and operationsManage TPPL – Common processes with Newport and ArrasQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
