Mechanical Engineer Manager (HVAC - Data Center)

About the JobOur clients is looking as a Mechanical Engineer Manager (HVAC - Data Center) and drive the design of high-performance, energy-efficient cooling systems for global data centers. You’ll lead engineering teams, optimize designs through CFD analysis, and ensure top-quality project delivery across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a great opportunity to innovate, lead, and make an impact in the fast-growing data center industry.Key responsibilitiesLead the detailed design and documentation of HVAC systems for large-scale data centers.Prepare and submit technical drawings and material lists for approval.Provide on-site technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.Troubleshoot HVAC system issues and ensure smooth integration with other systems.Conduct and oversee functional tests, system integration tests, and final acceptance procedures.Ensure all HVAC construction work strictly follows approved designs and specifications.Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery with high quality standards.Collaborate with project managers and technical directors to manage the full project lifecycle.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.Support continuous improvement by providing feedback and optimizing HVAC system performance.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in HVAC Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in data center HVAC system design or project management, including team leadership.Hands-on experience in large-scale data centers (500+ racks).Strong background in heat transfer, airflow systems, and CFD simulation.Proficiency with HVAC design software and knowledge of global design standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment.High adaptability, problem-solving mindset, and ability to thrive under pressure.Willingness to travel internationally, especially within the Asia-Pacific region.Certifications such as ATD (Uptime Institute), CDCP (EPI), or Chartered Engineer in HVAC are a plus.
